Pirates of the Caribbean
The Pirates of the Caribbean is a film series on the life and adventure of Captain Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp), Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). The Sword of Cortes is a long sword famous in the young adult book series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Jack Sparrow: The Sword of Cortes.
It is owned by Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes who conquered the Aztec civilization of South America in 16th century.
Captain Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones were searching for the Sword of Cortes because it has special powers.
Their plans were thwarted when the ghost of Hernan Cortes was stalking them, for he wished to use the sword again and bring himself back to life.
